Looks nice. A lot easier to keep tidy than brighter colours, too!

Did my Service. Air, Fuel and Oil Filter. Be aware, the under-tray bolts had seized and took me 4 hours alone to change the air filter! Grease the bolts; Grease them all!!

Changed the rear wiper a few weeks ago for a cheap one from ebay. What a load of rubbish, it left a big area right in the middle untouched.

Paid £30 for a genuine Alfa one and fitted it today and it appears to work fine.

Spent a lot of money having a hole fitted so I could actually see through the glass roof.

And got our Eastern European friends to save me some time at the weekend and get off the last couple of weeks motorway grime.

Really pushed the boat out this week!
Two bonnet rubbers (£2.00 each) - fitted
Left and Right scuttle wings (those pesky rubber bits that fly up after a while) - to be fitted after the next scuttle clean out.

That's too good for a £6 hand wash! Surely you must have clayed/waxed it recently?

I've not been well enough to do my own car since October but she's had two trips to H2O in Solihull for some £65 quid Radiant Wax Polish & HD Wax treatments since then

The £6 place down the road have got to know me pretty well & they always take extra car on our cars

I do tip well though - gave 'em £10 today.

I always do the finishing touches at home - water runs sorted with QD & the exhaust tips cleaned

Got her cleaned yesterday and this afternoon nipped across the border for a late lunch and a quick spin on the 'Evo Triangle.' Fantastic views and brilliant roads.

Highly recommended if you are in north Wales.

Spent the last 8 hours installing a Pioneer AppRadio2 (SPH-DA100) as they are a bargain price of £200 from Halfords at the minute!

It started with this pile of madness!

SPH-DA100 + Cradle + Connects2 Interface

20130506_123317_lls_resize.jpg

The the dash came out!

20130506_130023_resize.jpg 20130506_130027_resize.jpg

Then The headunit got fitted to the dash:

And hey poresto, you get this!

20130506_192647_resize.jpg

To be fair, it was a complete pain as I had to rewire my sub as well as this upgrade also effected the way they were connected so that added a good couple of hours on its own. Also, after all of that hassle, it doesn't actually work with my new Galaxy S4 as I didn't get the right adapter for it, so have to wait now for a MHL2.0 compliant adapter to arrive of ebay along with a secondary power set-up for the glovebox that will give me a couple of cigar lighter sockets and 2 x USB sharge points @ 1amp & 2amp each.

Sounds epic though! even on the radio!

My wife bought a Karcher Steam Cleaner, so today I decided to try it out on my wheels. Spayed on Meguiars 'Hot Rims All Wheel & Tyre Cleaner', left it on for about a minute and cleaned off with the steam cleaner and little brush that comes with it. seemed to have done a pretty good job, albeit the wheels are in good nick. There was a bit of dried in brake dust on the rim inners but that all came off leaving nice clean rims. The callipers cleaned up nicely too. I think if I were to take the wheels of I would get spotless results.

Three hours spent washing and polishing With a minor interior clean.
- even the inside hard to reach sections of the A and B pillars are polished
- and the bonnet underside and engine surround - microfibre clothes now to wash.
Very sparkly and aromatic - no photos until the 18" Horseshoe rims are shod and fitted.
Had them nearly a year and coated in Metallic Gunmetal (at Yorvik) but the 17" Conti's keep lasting with even wear thanks to JJB at York.

had to refit the boot hammock / net as it had pulled the trim off the sides of the boot. some strong bungees! so its now mounted to the bolts that hold the rear lights in place, nice and tidy now.

Got the Pioneer AppRadio2 (SPH-DA100) working flawlessly with my Galaxy S4.

Tasker + ARLiberator handles detection of the bluetooth profile and setting up the connection, then cleans everything up when the ignition is turned off and the profile is disconnected.

I now have an Android powered head unit with music library, audio books, sat-nav and video + full internet social media email and everything else you can dream of!

This weekend I am going to be fitting a better power supply solution in the glove box and trying the external GPS antenna in a few different locations, ideally, in the roof lining near the light cluster, but the metal may be too much for the signal. Also looking at under dash trim options so its all hidden out the way.

This beats Blue and Me by a country mile!
