New cam belt, water pump and alternator belt. It's probably placebic, but the engine feels like its running smoother. Either way I'm happy knowing its all done

Hope all goes well with the wedding!

Mine's just developed a little screech, sounds like a bearing somewhere.

Found a litre of water in the boot under the spare wheel!

Drained it, stripped back some of the sound proofing and removed to dry it, all the water was clean and some looked like it had some soap remains in it so reckon it is from the pressure washer. Examined the boot seal and have reseated it as I reckon that wasn't sat right and was letting water in under pressure. will wash it later once its all dried out to test!

At lest its sunny so it is drying out very quick!

My father wont agree whit me on the car storing and posterior sale or dismantling attitude so, he, toke it for a spin(about 50 mi according to him) and came back ranting about the air con only working for the passenger's side!!! See, i didnt even had to miss use the bloody thing, it finds itself new breakdowns just to keep us on the edge!!! I told him to go and give it a re-gas service and hope it solves the matter as i couldn't care less about it!
I'll stick to the SUV!!!

Cleaned out the boot after taking stuff to the tip --- ugh !! but bought a nail varnish sized ALFA RED paint repair bottle and brush , ready for sorting all the little chips on the bonnet , side skirts and wheel arch fronts . Stunned at the cost though ---- 16-99p !!!!!!!! Good job I don't need half a gallon .

hahah, yeah, keeping it shiny is the only way of hiding the shocking state of the paintwork. The CQuartz treatment was an attempt to keep it hidden longer. She needs a full mop & polish followed by some dent removal and about 60% of the panels resprayed (depending on how much comes out with the mop) as well as all 4 callipers, but that's going to cost plenty so it'll keep for now!

Still looks good from a distance, just don't get up close and inspect the paintwork

Polished the wheels with CQuartz, that's another 2 hours of my life gone, and my arms feel like they are going to drop off, but hopefully I wont need to polish it at all for another 3 months minimum now!

Thats some list , what is the benefit of Braided Brake Hoses may I ask?

As for me, cleaned inside and out. Removed the worst of the acid burn left behind from bird droppings (I was onto it pretty quick, but I think this pigeon had a mega hot curry for dinner or something! there was so much mess! )

Also ordered a chipex kit and requested some quotes for some mechanical work to be done

Swapped the winter tyres back to summer tyres yesterday. After two seasons I was expecting high wear rates from the softer winter tyres, but average 1.5mm in 6500miles seems pretty good.

Admittedly I drive fairly gently on the winter tyres. The summer tyres don't get treated so kindly
