Found the cause of a really annoying squeaking noise.
The black box just to the left of the engine cover (connected to the MAF pipe) has a rubber bung which pushes into a metal bracket.
Wrapped some insulation tape round the bung, pushed it back in & hey presto!

Been driving me mad for weeks.

Happy again!

Waved goodbye to her as she was carted off to 'hospital', on the back of an AA recovery truck, to have surgery on a blown turbo, .

Here in Northern Italy, the sun came out and it stopped raining. So I washed my Spider, put the top down, and ran a number of errands for a couple of hours. Spring is just around the corner. I made it home before the rains came and (thank God) the roof worked properly once again. If you're not a religious person before you buy a Spider, you will soon learn to pray ................. frequently, or at least each time you operate the roof.

Cleaned her and swapped my hollowed DPF for a straight pipe.

I was tempted to fit 5 in with 1 in the boot but decided that for the sake if weight balance... Then safety... This wasn't a good idea!

Moved the old girl forward so I could squeeze my van into a parking space.

Got all the cleaning products out and ready to give her a good clean tomorrow, is it sad that I'm excited about cleaning her?

Cleared the EML codes and a few more - then drove it. Promised to clean it at some point in 2013!

Not sure what is better for cleaning a car -15 to -20 or the constant downpours or is that torrents of rain we seem to be getting in the UK ;-/

Didn't get round to cleaning my car due to weather

Managed to get out that led i dropped in the headlight but then it dropped down into the under tray, then the one already in fell out into the under tray.

Then I shut my thumb in the door.

We may be related . today I leant over to retrieve a coin from the pasenger footwell and , slipped and winded my self on the gear knob and then , still cursing, shut the door on my thumb as I squeezed out of the door ( car was in my garage) .

Still waiting for mine to be fixed under warranty, sent an e-mail of potential items for them to look at..

On a positive, looking for a spares or repair 159 JTD.. Looking to undertake a two year project to create a 350 - 400 Bhp 2.4 JTDM, got a quote for engine displacement increase, upgraded clutch, intake / intercooler upgrades, re-maps, turbo, brakes, suspension etc...

Do I know what I'm doing? Hell no, but love cars and always wanted a side project. Also I'll be giving my unmodified 159 to the misses in a couple of years and it will be handy to know them inside and out for repairs.
