Gone 2 days with no warning messages and no sodding great clouds of white smoke or shakey startups

Yesterday, got mine back from the dealers where they investigated coolant loss:-

http://www.alfaowner.com/Forum/alfa-...g-coolant.html

This weekend (with lots of help from GTleigh) she'll be getting two new front fog lights & the Pipercross in box filter will be getting a clean

Also got minor marks on the alloys & a few stone chips to attend too from the bad winter we've been having

Gave my car a well needed clean!

While cleaning though I was wiping the door sills and I knocked the rubber seal at the bottom a bit and it came loose

Put Ti alloys on, satin mirror covers, Don't think it looks that bad for an ex taxi, and is really a 1.9 Lusso.

300 miles up to Hull, via Oswestry (spotted a nice black lusso (?) 159 with personalised plates), then Skipton, where I met Hessian, who I got a refurbed Ti wheel from (and his very nice Red Ti), after chatting about the rarity of the 159, then pulled directly behind a Silver sportswagon Q4 3.2 on the A65 that pulled into Otley (I flashed a hello, but got no response).
Another 150 miles home, a clean from the Albanians, buffed off the 'chrome', and took off the side repeaters which were full of condensation for a clean.

Had a new stereo fitted last year but the AM on my radio has been poor recently. I saw the posts by AwB about am radio reception and fitted a CT27AA05 to replace the signal booster fitted by the shop and its improved it. This sends a 12v signal to the Brera's built in signal booster.

Got up early to give her a decent run as she's not had one in a while. Went to Tebay services where I had some breakfast and then went to Moffat in Scotland and back home via Tebay where I filled her up and added some Archoil bg244 injector cleaner.

For the first 230 miles the mpg on the clock climbed steadily until it hit 39 mpg at Tebay on the way back. This was at a steady 70 ish mph.

For the last 70 odd miles I was up to 46 mpg on the clock. Due to traffic on the way back I had to use the right foot more, but still got over 44 mpg for the last leg.

I did head out of Moffat towards Selkirk for a few miles on what I thought was an A road and that looks like it would have been great on a bike.

I've done the more traditional route towards Edinburgh (where my father is from) when I visited Hawick on business a few years back. Anybody in our company visiting Hawick used to enjoy the drive there.

Turned off the seatbelt warning beep! It's annoying me when I put something with a bit of weight on the passenger seat!
Also full service, and new wheels and tyres. Standard 17" Lusso wheels so if anyone needs a set, I have a set spare with nowhere to store them.
