Hi all,

This kind of thread works well on several other forums I use and often sparks some great discussions / ideas. Just post up what it is you've done and feel free to comment on others posts, but be nice

Today - tracking set to zero toe as recommended on here. Needed doing as it's taken the inside edges off the fronts.

Bought another tyre from Camskill. They now charge a tenner for delivery, up from £6 for two four years ago.
But they're still cheaper than what people are charging on eBay.

Got said tyre fitted yesterday. Went to my normal tyre-fitting garage where they used to charge a tenner.
Got stung for twenty quid. Turns out the garage has a new owner. Serves myself right for not asking the price beforehand...
So £30 for delivery and fitting of one tyre. I'll remember that when I need to buy another...

2.4 jtdm 200hp. Removed the swirl flaps and cleaned the dirty intake manifold. Blocked off the egr valve. Power steering fluid flush, oil change, changed all filters. New glow plugs.

For anyone wondering the intake manifold on the 2.4 can come off without removing the cambelt.

Did the job myself over a few days. Not too difficult.

The engine runs beautifully now. I had startup problems with the engine stalling. Now all of that is solved. Plus i don't have to worry about swirl flaps detaching and doing signifficant damage.

Refurbished and refitted the engine under tray on my V6 Brera. I couldn’t find a replacement for sale so fibreglass and a rivnut gun sorted out. Having read some arguments about the pros and cons of the undertray when my came off and I looked underneath the sub frame was in such good condition that the tray had to go back on.

My son got burnt with tyres too, he co owns an mot garage but also they do tyres mainly for mots and regular customers so not big scale but they rang the company who collect and dispose of the old tyres which they charge £1 per tyre so my son passes that on to the customer like they all do only to find out the collection company has doubled it to £2, but the sting is they store them out the back till they have a load to dispose of so been charging £1 only to find out they have to pay double.
He’s not a happy bunny as they don’t have big mark up on there tyres as they don’t buy in bulk to keep them in stock but bring them in to order 😂.
