Took it to visit its sibling.
The G is my parent's car. They've just had their drive relaid and no cars are allowed on it for a few days, so the perfect opportunity for some pics of two Ghiaccio White Alfas together!

Haha, would you believe I didn't even notice the Fiat?!
Never been a fan of the 500.

Cheers mate. It's not actually been washed for a few months.
Maybe something to do with all the rain we've had in Lancashire recently!

I'm sure it has more to do with being white. You'd spot a black car that hadn't been washed for a few months from across the street. I know...

loaded my new map from Autolusso onto the car this afternoon. Apparently it already had a modded map on it but judging from the difference it can't have been any good. The car is transformed, and an absolute tower of power

I think mine has seized a little.

Aircon regas. It's lasted 6 months so it must have a slow leak. So much better with it though
Talking of leaks my wet rear passenger footwell is from something underneath I think.
I reckon there must be a bad seam.

umm, well they evened out some of the cruder bits of the existing modded map and did their own bits....i didn't kind of 'pick one of a list' as such..but there is apparantly more they can do once i've seen how I get on with this current map.

as for the difference, its a totally different car driving arouind town and at low revs - pulls much harder in all gears from much lower revs and is generally more responsive at lower revs.

There is some smoking under heavy load but this is expected with a remap and I think can be tweaked some more if/when i have some final tweaks made.

I read the ecu myself which is dead easy and cheap, sent it off to them by email, chatted wth Ned about it, and then reloaded the mapped file which was even easier, and eh presto!

total cost was 300 which included the EGR delete and blanking plate which they have/will post to me so I can fit myself or get fitted somewhere.

i can't comment on the fuel economy yet - the computer reading is worse, but the trip computers are thrown massively out by a remap, and judging miles vs fuel guage is as good or better - I wont know till Ive done a whole tanks worth. I will say though that driving at..let's say the limit of what won't loose me my license on the motorway....it revs at 100rpm lower than it did previously and around town it tends to be in a higher gear.

it's worth noting also that although I have the qtronic I have the garrett turbo from the 210 cars as my stock one gave up the ghost to I replaced with the better unit....and that gives more flexibility

White does seem to be great for looking reasonably clean, even with lazy gits like me who just can't be bothered washing cars!
When I bought my Spider I had a choice of 2 at the main dealer - both LEs with identical specs and mileage. One was white, one black. I just knew black would be a nightmare!

Now on holiday in Italy via Europoort and Friedrichshafen on Lake Constance. Drove from Salzburg to Brescia today in 36 degrees. I haven't seen so many caravans and motorhomes blocking a motorway for years. My 2.2 is over a decade old with nearly 83.000 on the clock and it still uses no oil even after nearly six hours on the motorway in these temperatures. Everything works and over long distances, it's more comfortable than our 2016 Giulietta. Changing the oil before it's 5000 miles old seems to protect the oil feed and chain. It really is a fantastic car for Eurotrips.

Never posted on this section but in the 3 months of owning a black 2.4 Brera. Ive done:

DPF removed, EGR blanked and remapped
New Clarion satnav headunit
laser-cut stainless steel foot pedals
painted calipers yellow
four brand new uniroyal tyres
Front and back 159 mudflaps fitted
new rear light cluster (one kept fogging up)
All badges inc wheel centres changed to black/white/chrome versions
red interior accent lighting (foot-well and in the door-card pockets)
Have all the parts (except the controller, which is due anytime soon) for an angel eye conversion
and am booked in tomorrow for all the paintwork to be taken down a layer and polished/waxed.

Few more photos, will try and take a couple more at night. The door cards only light up when the doors have been opened and the foot-well lights activate with the interior lighting.
