Larry....Which map did you get , how much?. Where is the noticeable difference?.
umm, well they evened out some of the cruder bits of the existing modded map and did their own bits....i didn't kind of 'pick one of a list' as such..but there is apparantly more they can do once i've seen how I get on with this current map.
as for the difference, its a totally different car driving arouind town and at low revs - pulls much harder in all gears from much lower revs and is generally more responsive at lower revs.
There is some smoking under heavy load but this is expected with a remap and I think can be tweaked some more if/when i have some final tweaks made.
I read the ecu myself which is dead easy and cheap, sent it off to them by email, chatted wth Ned about it, and then reloaded the mapped file which was even easier, and eh presto!
total cost was 300 which included the EGR delete and blanking plate which they have/will post to me so I can fit myself or get fitted somewhere.
i can't comment on the fuel economy yet - the computer reading is worse, but the trip computers are thrown massively out by a remap, and judging miles vs fuel guage is as good or better - I wont know till Ive done a whole tanks worth. I will say though that driving at..let's say the limit of what won't loose me my license on the motorway....it revs at 100rpm lower than it did previously and around town it tends to be in a higher gear.
it's worth noting also that although I have the qtronic I have the garrett turbo from the 210 cars as my stock one gave up the ghost to I replaced with the better unit....and that gives more flexibility
