Starting to worry after seeing a puff of blue smoke during a gear change when taking it easy

New refurbed foglights fitted back in, loving the silver and not yellow-like-rotten-teeth look.
Also fitted some new LED lights which shine really white.

Got all six cylinders again after two coil packs replaced after a misfire - everything gets smaller in the rear window much quicker now

I wish I knew how to do stuff like that myself, I'm utterly useless with anything electrical. It's the only real niggle I have with the 159...the amount of pathetic light the headlights give off. Truly awful!

Anyway...what have I done? Last night coming back from work drove over the biggest pot hole known to man. I had decided to go an alternative way home as there had been an accident and paid the price.

Made such a loud bang it scared the bejezzus out of me! Last time I went over a pot hole like that I had to get a replacement swing arm.

Paid yearly tax for it! €229.68! Gee, Thanks IMF! Fed it whit €95.02 Premium Geforce GALP Diesel, filled to the brim! toke the afternoon off to take a regen stroll in it, and it did! I'm starting to understand this REGEN process-mechanics, thanks to FIXITSAN on his dpf fix thread by the way! Then toke it to portuguese MOT as well as the hdj 100, them both got flying colours aproved!
Cheers.

I had some SMD 42mm Festoon bulbs I never used from my previous car, so tried fitting one into the boot but it was unfortunately not CANBUS safe so flickered.

Fitted some different LED sidelights (and can bus resistors) which use one big bulb rather than a number of smaller LEDs. Does seem to be brighter.

mmmmmm interesting, you could use boiled water from the kettle but I assume its the rinse water that leaves the marks, you can buy a product which drives the water off, lots of companies do them, or buy a water removing blade thing, or add a water softener or move or buy a white car sorry

That looks great, does it lose the chrome trim around the base?

Although no longer mine as I traded it in last month, I saw it on Autotrader - they could have washed it before they photographed it

How did you find the fitting of the top ring around the gear lever? Have the nice ( and cheaper ) eBay job ( without the emblem), the ring is a little too large, so a loose rather than snug fit. Though it stays in place fine.

Used the rear folding seats function for the first time since buying the Alfa . Dead easy to fold but a little disappointing that the front passenger doesn't fold forward flat , just 45 degrees. I wanted to put two new kitchen doors from B&Q through the boot . It's just possible as long as they are no more than 30 inches wide (6ft 6in long of course)
