Hit a massive pothole and ruptured the sump. So getting that welded or replaced at the moment. Don't have the car long so really missing the car on my drive.

Brera 2.2 JTS

Crazed Weeellll...

Beloved Brera was picked up by bods for an insurance respray. Had to explain to chappie how to get round the windows being open 1.5" - battery replaced yesterday en route & the wagon needs an EMU reset.

Less than chuffed with courtesy car - Ford Focus STI boy racer suicide wagon with ride so stiff that my lower back may never forgive me...

It's back. It took a bit longer than forecast leading to hassles with unavailable courtesy cars, hire cars and so on. But I stumped up to have the bonnet done so the stone chips and an unsightly scratch are no more. It looks as peachy as a dark blue Alfa can.

just changed the o/s side light bulb!! there was no tab so a gentle pull on the wires and hey presto!!

Also just refitted one of the rear parking sensors after the local car wash had scored a direct hit with the jet wash and blasted it inside the bumper!!

Not a bad hour in the sun!!!

Missed the delivery of my new aluminium sports pedals - can't pick up till Tueaday now. This is all the wife's fault! Something about visiting family at Easter.

I was working today so missed the lovely weather, but for the last hour of daylight I polished the bonnet of the Brera and touched up the stone chips. Still zillions of the blighters, but she's looking far more respectable now.

Alfa 159

Read back through some old posts and found that my arm rest extends, was stiff and probably never extended before, so I'll drive it in the morning with a greater degree of comfort

Removed a few bird deposits, although I don't get to wash her all the time, I've seen what bird crap can do to the paint if left on.

What is it with rock hard bird poo though!?

Any spelling/ grammatical errors are purely there to annoy!

Booked her in for next week for a list of smaller things:

- changing from winter tires to summer tires
- rust treatment underneath (sandblasting and wax)
- fix squeaking brakes (fitted 6 months ago and they squeaked since day one)
- wheel alignment

Gettin' jiggy with it

Swore at it.

Inside rear left parking sensor failed, not too bad but a pain. Anyone used the OEM style ones off ebay?

Rear near side door won't open from inside or out, big pain (child lock is on too) it seems to be possible to get the door card off after removing the seat bench reading some threads on here.

After being amazed at the frankly ridiculous prices quoted to put one tyre from an old alloy wheel onto another newer alloy wheel I finally found a tyre fitter who wasn't offering daylight robbery and got round to getting the tyres moved onto the refurbed Prodrive S alloys ..

Refitted my rear view mirror after it randomly dropped off whilst driving!!!...only saved by the electrical wires which left it dangling from the screen.
