Just fitted new pollen filter after about a year and 4 months (4,000 miles ish) the old one was filthy.
My local garage cut off both of the exhaust pipe tips, drilled a 14mm hole through the pipe inside the back box, then welded the pipes back on, instantly reducing the back pressure, wow what a difference.
Thanks go to FILBYMAN

What have you done to your 159/Brera/Spider today?

Just picked her up from the repair place, some bad scratches and had the alloys refurbed. Looks a lot darker than I was expecting, but was getting dark!

A step too far for me. They now look smaller than 19s. And dirty.
But as always, each to their own .
159s do look great in silver though .

What was the cost of the alloys refurb? Were they blasted and recoated or just scraped and filled?
Estimates fluctuating wildly here!

Had my Wizard back boxes fitted-nice, will mention about them elsewhere. Got a nice screw in the front tyre which transmitted some nice vibration through the pedal, thought I'd got driveshaft/spider problems, so was quite pleased to see a screw in the Tyre. Have a screw in a rear tyre too, both probably unrepairable, tyres are like new, so see ya later £300. My Michellins are going on prematurely, need it done today so getting relieved of £80 by these fleecing STS tyre pros because they're not brand new tyres (Ie, buy our tyres and we'll fit them, bring your own and you can bolax) I usually pay £40!

GT 3.2 V6 - Q2, KONI FSD & EIBACH PROKIT, GTA REMAP, MICHELLIN PS3's, BMC CDA
159 SW 2.4JTDM TI - ALFATUNED, WIZARD BACK BOXES, KW V3 COILOVERS, NOKIAN WR A3/MICHELLIN PS3, PCA DYNAMICS ALIGNMENT.

Ahhh, both tyres fixed, was pretty near the limit of fixability, here's a pic of where one screw was so you know what you can get safely fixed and not get fobbed off.
Watch it snow now I've got my summers back on.

They were blasted and powder coated. Guy reckons it was a pain to strip then as the paint had been on for ages. £75ex vat each. They were supposed to charge a little more as the colour is more expensive but forgot to add it spraycraft in Leamington if you are interested.

Forgot to add, also got my two Nexen n8000 fitted at the same time, so small saving there

I would not trust repaired tyre on anything that goes faster than 10mph.

I had my 159 cleaned up internally as I bought her a couple of days ago and I wanted to make sure that she feels as good as new. Of course this is just the 1st step.

Had some Prodrive alloys fitted today with a set of Uniroyals. Here's the before and after shot. Will get the Ti's refurbed as love them too! Thoughts?

I agree, now get them off Robbo and send them to me to dispose of!

These 8c wheels have to be seen in the flesh on 159's, photos never show good they actually look.

Take it you don't like alloys in the dark colour ?!

One thing for sure, they look a lot larger than the Ti wheels for some reason.

I love those alloys on a Brera, they really suit the car.

For me, they just don't look right on a saloon.
Perhaps why Alfa never offered them as an option? Or did they??

And for me, they look a lot smaller than the Ti wheels...

I have filthy standard 19'' 10-spokes on mine and they don't look good, but clean them up and the car looks absolutely amazing.
Surprising how different two Alfa lovers can be .

Depends on the colour of the car, agree dark with dark looks silly, the Limited edition Bond 159 had anthracite, but not as dark as ours though

Took delivery of engine oil, gear oil, brake fluid, air filter and pollen filter...all ready for the service next week. Saved a fortune ordering all the parts and getting a garage to do the labour.

They do them in a lighter shade too which in my opinion would look better on that car as they blend in with the roof rails and the door handles etc....

As for styling I too am unsure as to if they look good on the 159. They look awesome on the Brera but I cant quite work out if they look as good on the 159 or whether its just that they are different on the 159 and my head hasn't quite processed that its not a brera.
