That's one way to solve ground clearance issues when lowering it

What I'd that cost ?

Wouldn't mind mine doing underneath as the company I work for and others on the ind estate have the road and car parks salted every time the temps hit zero degrees, can't be doing the underside any good whatsoever

80... didnt think it was too bad so asked for it on top of the service.

159's do suffer form rusty sub frame issues so a preventative measure cant hurt

In fairness, if you have the right kit, this is a very easy (messy) job. I did mine last year when I got it. A can of Waxoyl and a little pump. Jack the car up and spray in all the nooks and crannies. Took me about 2 hours and cost about 20, plus got all the gear to do the girlfriends car when she gets one...

Alfa 3.2 spider

Alfa OE body kit

Just got my baby back to-day from Alexanders, main Alfa dealer in Stockton. (they have 2 4C's in the showroom). I'm 2500 lighter in the wallet, but I think it was worth it. Bonnet re-sprayed, full Alfa OE body kit supplied, painted and fitted. Last bit is Autodelta back boxes which arrive next week.

Took my new Spider out with the top down for a drive to Stow on the Wold..... and got a parking ticket!
I will be appealing as I was parked in a council car park and it wasn't clear I was not supposed to park in that bay

Ordered the heated seat repair bits from Chris Variava. 5 days from Italy so the garage in Swansea put the seat back in.

Filled her up with Momentum & got 20p per litre off. 17mpg out of the last tank

Gave her a good clean. Still looks & goes brilliantly

Got it mud splatted by an unknown rally car at Race Retro - I was parked too near the rally stage! Changed the bulbs in the left rear cluster after the brake light blew and the indicator bulb dropped behind the Bose subwoofer. Saw a really neat graphic on the centre display telling me which ones were out!

Tomorrow it will get a wash and polish I think.

Roof racks and ski system installed - ready for the mountains!

(p.s. only fitted everything here - skis will be placed backwards in the future to reduce drag )

Liberated the engine

What have I done today to my 159 Ti? I've liberated the engine! I had a remap done, EGR delete and DPF removed. I now have 40 more horses under the bonnet. The difference is amazing, especially at low revs/part throttle. It feels so much more responsive. Only 650 for the whole job, by Alfa expert Florian Stoffolo of GTOptimisation.com in the Paris region where I live.

Lots of fun in store (speed cameras and weather permitting...)!
