Finished paint corrections ie DA and megs swirl compound and ultimate wax, looks like a new car (how do you upload photo's)?
Added a bottle of Forte DPF regenerator/ cleaner to tank (keep it running sweet).

Hope that's lesson learnt. Never race anyone in the 2.2, just sit there and pose .

Washed it and the wife's Mini. Seemed to get more water on me than the car though...

Did it do much damage? You have to watch those milestones; they can jump out at you.

Both cars are 3.2 V6, and both 4x4, so you think they should be fairly similar
But in the real word her German car will run rings around my Italian beauty
Still the Alfa is much better looking

They are good, life can be a bit short but worth it. The Phillips uprated ones are good too. It still amazes me a HID kit is now the same price at two sets of these...

Alfa 159 JTS

Took my 159 JTS 2.2 manual into the shop for a complete service, and got them to fit a new lower grill and passenger side fog light. The lower grill had a largish hole in it, (compliments of a pigeon, and the fog lamp had gone well sort of manky on the inside). Total bill including engine and gearbox oil, filters etc etc. $315.00 dollars. Am well pleased.

The mechanics i use are a crowd called "The Italian Job''. Bunch of Alfa enthusiasts at a local garage and seem to know their stuff when it comes to Alfas. Good service attitude as well.

Just had bonnet resprayed for 200 to remove stone chips from infamous water based red paint that chips when it hits flies....used the good old fashioned hard paint, looks great now. Took her out for a DPF blast and now I got a brake bulb out....easy enough to replace? No! Looks like I've got to remove whole cluster!!!!

Still love it

Collected my 159 from Autolusso after having powerflex front end and eibach pro and b4 shocks. What a difference! The steering is now so precise and the crashiness is gone. No real difference in stiffness over oem just handles the bumps a whole lot better and body roll is gone. Well chuffed with the results

Mine hasn't turned a wheel in over a week. Snugged up in our dehumidified garage.

Need to connect it to the CTEK tomorrow & start on those stone chips. Garage Heater will need to go on for sure though.

Did you paint the bonnet yourself, or do you know what type of paint was used?
I need mine re-spraying, it's only done 40,000 miles, but has so many touch up spots on it, it probably says something in brail

Booked it in (again) for timing chain replacement after having cancelled an earlier appointment due to the EML turning itself off.
It came back on on Saturday night .
So tomorrow's the day my bank account gets drained .

Changed the oil for Fuchs Race Pro S, managed to get the sump bolt out cleanly, managed to get about 200mm of old oil on driveway, used the same of white spirit to get it off. Changed the oil filter after a trip out to buy a 36mm socket. Changed air filter. Cleaned MAP sensor. Magic erased and brillo'd the windscreen to try and shift the Rainex. Packed the bulkhead seal out because it was loose and knocking. Wurth lubed the Poorflex(sic) upper bushes again, should last a week or so before they need doing again. Lubed all the rear left suspension up to try and eliminate a squeek. Vacuumed Xmas tree needles from all over the car.

Loved it today.
