Indeed an easy job, even for someone like me with no technical background whatsoever. I changed my airfilter on tuesday for a K&N replacement filter.

Def. an improvement, together with the remap, which was done almost 2 years ago, it seems that it completely removed the hesitation issue from my 2.2jts.

Hums? Mine whined and got higher pitched the higher the revs. If you have red brown oil you could try a quick oil change, may cure it....

Driven it! Hell, it's been off the road for 36 days and in the garage for 23 days waiting for parts.

I didn't realise the steering racks were made from Unobtanium.

That nothing, it took them almost 4 months to get me a oil pump as they'd ran out world wide and had to make some more. Got to love Fiat.

Lost my DPF and EGR deleted at Motormech. Great drive home, much much smoother and promising mpg. Only downer was I needed a new EGR valve so pricier than I was hoping for. Overall happy though, different car to drive with noticably more torque throughout the range.

A quick wash, and satisfied with the way the water balled up that I've done my best to protect the paint for winter

Looked out of the window this morning and gazed in wonder at my new red lady parked on the drive, waited ages and ages for it to stop raining, found room for about a third of my "odds 'n sods" in the cabin, went for a long run and grinned from ear to ear

Brera 3.2 JTS Q4

Fitted a set of 225/45/17 R17 Toyo Proxes R1-R to replace the missmatched tyres that were on the Brera, and so far am liking them, they are a lot quieter and the car feels more "planted" on the road.

Then had a go at connecting the ipod to the multi-cd changer input so it works off the steering wheel buttons.

Next on the agenda is to find a spot to mount the TomTom, where I can hide the wires and connect it to an "ignition on live" so I don't have to use the cigar lighter plug.

Re: the tomtom, mine still uses the cigarette lighter, but have found I could tuck the cable under the black rubberish centre console where it meets the carpet, much neater.
Edit: that was my recollection, actually, it is between the rubber corner trim ( that goes down the side of the Alu trim), and the plastic on the side of the footwell/ centre console, no carpet.

Brera 3.2 Q4 SV

Fitted a set of 17" 159 multispokes for winter running shod in Accelera Winter X-Grip tyres from Poland. Wheels and tyres bought and fitted for about half the price a set of Pirelli Sotozeros would have cost!

Hoping for some snow to test out as last year, with winter tyres and Q4 ready to go, I didnt have a working engine!

Appreciate the mixed thoughts on Accelera tyres so I'm putting myself forward to do some testing on behalf of other interested forum members. If I don't make it through the winter, my upset other half will have my 18" cross spokes available on eBay

Got a set of Prodrive rear boxes fitted. Love the sound the Brera now makes and it's definitely improved the drivability, much smoother.
