Hmmm 159 Battery

Is it me being a tad simple? or does it seem odd to have to remove a plate with fuses on and thus disconnect the battery just to see if there's enough water in all the cells on the battery?

OR!!!!!, have I missed something and there is a much easier way to do it?

.....it was designed for maintenance free batteries with just the little coloured eye to check.
