Unusual problem - solved

The fuel injection system warning light came on a couple of days ago in my 159 2.4 diesel. It was running perfectly, so I did not panic, but with some trepidation visited the main dealer in Exeter - Vospers. The result was that squirrel/mouse nuts/droppings were fouling the swirl flap mechnaism - a good blast of compressed air and a general checkover solved the problem! Service was friendly and helpful and the mechanic even took a couple of photos to show me! So far no more problems!

Mouse droppings fouling the swirl flap mechanism....

That means you're not driving it often enough!...
I better keep an eye out for that one...I have now managed 30(!) miles this year...

Mouse nuts?

When they got trapped, didn't the squeaking tell you something was wrong?
