hi all just got my 159 last wednesday and was fine since i left it in the garage for 2 days went to start her up and nothing just a really small click.

i notice that the slot of the key was on before i went in the car. does it have to be all the time on?

i leave the car normaly unlock in the garage is this why the light in the key lot remaining on?

i did a search around here but all i can find is cold weather related issued, any ideas?

I had the flat battery issue on my 159 TBi. Check to see whether the rear lights are on very faintly when you lock the car and also check whether the bootlid/tailgate has been released from the lock mechanism.

It may be that the batteries on the TBi are a little weak a the engine is small but the dealer told me there are no recalls or known issues.

I've just traded the 159 for a new Giulietta so won't be able to help any further on this issue - sorry!

It doesnt go to sleep unless you lock it - this may be the problem.

i really don't know got this car from UK last week and the battery is a VARTA Blue dynamic e43 72Ah cranking of 680.

the key slot does it always stay on? cause mine it does when the car is unlocked but if you open and close the door it goes of.

for recharging the battery i took the negative off hopefully if there is something it will get reset.

new battery for TBI

It seems that time has arrived to change the battery (Banner 55 Ah 450A) in my TBI. I couldn't find in the manual what type is suggested. On a forum 90 Ah was mentioned. Thank You
