Lol - just hurry up and get on with replacing all your plugs and relay then. If problem is solved for you I will eat my own rear end. When you put your key in waiting glow plug to warm up I'm assuming you guys think that is all that is happening in that period...... It's a journey
Go to a good indie and save ££ instead of throwing cash at guesses.
wow, so much for helping the OP....
its not a guess BTW, its an informed decision. with the information gained from his experience, and mine combined, i/we can say that it is probable that the glow plugs can be at fault, at the very least he'll end up with a good set of glow plugs....also don't be a silly, of course the glow plugs are necessary ... disconnect yours and try and start it cold and get your salt and pepper out...i dont think ass tastes that good.
its very simple, its either oil passed seals (which i doubt), leaky injector, duff pre-heat or something much more complex....
of those listed, glow plugs are by far an away the cheapest/easiest next port of call.
what exactly do you think a good indie does? use magic? no, they work by process of elimination, coupled with experience, means they get through it quicker and can skip steps...nothing that a normal DIY'er can't do,
