Go on Russ 13, buy one. If you love the design and can afford it , then let your heart rule it. Having owned a 1.9 oil burner, lived with a 2.4 for two weeks, and owned a tbi TI for two years I'll be first to recommend them all. Each has their good and not so good points. Go for the highest spec, lowest mileage with full service history (independent specialist or dealer) that you can afford. Factor in initial price and running costs dependant on engine capacity and your driving style/annual mileage. Reliabilty...no better or worse than other makes in my opinion.
Take our advice on which is best with a pinch of salt, the oil burner vs petrol head arguement is wearysome at best. If it makes you smile, make you want to look in shop windows as you pass them, then do it! All I want is another happy owner with an Alfa to dispel the Alfa nay sayers.
Ps....get the colour you like, they all look ace Imho...but black is a pain in the hoop to keep clean. Hence Why seven trent and autoglym will always fleece me!!
