Alfa 159 2.4 Start issue
Firstly hello I'm a new member even though I've read the Forums a few times as a guest.
I'm currently on my second Alfa and love it dearly, since I have owned it (2 months) I've had intermittent problems starting. After a new battery and a new starter motor neither covered by warranty its much better but still not right.
Currently to start the car I have to put the key in and allow the plugs to warm up then remove the key and repeat before pressing the start button. After that the car now always starts up, this could be overkill but when just putting the key in and pressing start after the plugs have warmed was occasionally resulting in a "clicking noise" and nothing else even after the new starter. Now after starting the car on occasion will stall after a few seconds and then stutters on restart, a quick rev of the engine cures the stuttering but the stall happens too quick for me to rev.
I love the car as I've said and when it works its a delight but I have no confidence in it starting and wish I did so I could show it off a bit. Can anyone advise?
