I'm in a similar position - company car goes back in September so don't really need the Alfa yet but will be driving both i'm sure! I'll use the time in between to get all the jobs done - dpf, remap, exhaust etc etc.........can't understand why the LE with all it's upgrades, comes with a peashooter of an exhaust!!
Going for the re-map and the DPF then? I am not, for now, partly due to money side. I believe its enough to pay £12,000 for the Car and 3 year warranty, and another £1,500 for insurance without any major technical gubbins like that.
What are you doing regards the exhaust? I admit it looks pathetic, personally I think a twin exhaust would set it up perfectly, but thats my 19 year old Go Kart Racing, "Need for Speed" car tuning head talking...not sure if it's practical, or possible.
Fortunately, I have 3 weeks off just before I start to drive the car, so the EGR will be getting a damn good clean and a properly good going over regards fluids and the like.
I have had good luck so far with Car's and vehicles in general...hell, not even an Army one has broken down on me yet (crossed fingers), so i'll be damned if I click buy on the insurance and the damn Alfa wont start after!
No doubts that it will though, perfect condition.
