My 1.9 was fettled at 60K, the clutch went at 96K. So pretty good all in all.
If you use the torque on the motorway and don't change down, you are naturally going to decrease the life of your transmission. A quick flick to 4th or 5th eases the strain through the system.
This is good practice as standard.
I'm still not sold on the longevity of the DPF removal etc. The car was designed to have the system in there, and removing it is possibly storing issues up for later, whether MOT or otherwise. There are several on here who have had an MOT since having these parts disabled/removed and all has been fine. But who knows what tomorrow brings.....
I'm sure the process makes the car a different/better beast. I'm just not convinced it is the way forward.
The remap on mine included a reworked DPF regen process, less aggressive. Have to say it has worked a treat in the 7K miles I've had the car.
Each to their own, and in all reality there probably won't be a long term issue, but...... Speaking to the specialist I use last week, he isn't convinced either. Time will tell for sure!
