Brera Cat Mystery
Hi, I have a 2010 2.2 Brera purchased just over a year ago with just 10 miles on the clock. It's been fine apart from a slight niggle with an airflow sensor but at the end of Feb this year a warning light came on with the statement "Have engine checked".
The car went to the main dealer on the 1st March and after an technician from Italy flew over to look into the mysterious fault it was determined the catalytic convertor needed replacing.
I won't bore you wih the whole saga but after three months I am still waiting for a cat!!
According to Alfa there are none available! Italy were supposed to be placing it on back order from their manufacture in South Africa but can not tell me when it will arrive.
Is this normal with Alfa's? I've tried discussing my frustration with the local main dealer and UK head office. I really don't get the impression they give a damn.
I used to think you didn't see many Brera's because only a few were made but I'm now wondering if they are all sitting in garages waiting for spare parts to turn up!
