No but I'm interested to know if it works - can't help but be sceptical!

hmm, thanks for input. There is a lot of companies who offers these things. It looks very much the same as other comparing boxes out there. The price is good, i was hoping someone had tried RaceChip ?

Come on guys,

I can't believe you'r serious.

These resistor type 'chip tuning' boxes have been available for years.

Buy it for 100+ open it up and it's just a couple of resistors on a bit of vero board.

If you want to remap your car look around and get it done properly.

there is no quick 'Cheap' fix for this.

Stick a resistor on the right wire between your ecu and your injector rail and you will get longer injector pulses (and if you do it right higher turbo boost) but there is nothing clever about it, you might get more power, but it's not a long term solution, spend a couple of hundered more and it'll save you more than that.

Better to spend a bit of time and a hunderd quid on a night school electronics class, then you can buy the bits of these its for 99p from maplin and fit them yourself, and at least you will understand exactly whats going on and why you have more power rather than beliving the hype from the adverts.

for me personally, i'm with axe

i've been in cars with "tuning box's" installed, before and after, and yes there can be an appreciable difference,

but how it is obtained is very different from a specific map session with someone who knows there onions.

for me, again personally, Nigel of Angeltune is the man, and i've had him map everything mappable i've owned
over the last 5 years, all my JTD's and even my Van.

i could not be happier with either the results or the service, top man indeed.

you can have a rolling road map session of you want to pay the extra for the rolling road time, and of course the dyno operator/owner, who probably does mapping themsleves, doesn't mind you bringing your own man and laptop along,

OR, you can have a map installed according to your requirements at your work or home, as i have done in the past,

however, if you're a sceptic, you may want to know just how good that map was, and book yourself a dyno session just for a check up, which again i have done, and Nigels work was bang on the money.

if you call him, tell him Shrew told you to ring, you'll be looked after i'm sure.

all the best,
