No offence taken, I like my cars in my garage (joke!). It's Indian car maker (?) Geely who own Volvo I think.
Geely is Chinese and has very little input into the ops of Volvo...here's a little explanation....
Volvo to be owned by a Chinese conglomerate, but will stay a Swedish brand.

Ford bought the Volvo brand for $6.45 billion in 1998. They are now selling the Swedish-based company to a Chinese conglomerate called Geely for $1.6 billion.
For those who were wondering “The future road for Volvo Cars is now defined. Regardless of who owns Volvo Cars, its brand will still be Swedish." said Maud Olofsson, Swedish deputy prime minister.
Geely said it plans to keep Volvo's existing manufacturing facilities in Sweden and Belgium, but it may explore manufacturing opportunities in China. Volvo Cars will remain separate from Geely's other operations, with its own Sweden-based management team and a new board of directors.
"China, the largest car market in the world, will become Volvo's second home market. Volvo will be uniquely positioned as a world-leading premium brand, tapping into the opportunities in the fast-growing China market," Geely's chairman, Li Shufu said.
