in my experience, you'd normally feel a tired dmf at low revs and pulling away first,
almost as if the flywheel is warped kinda feeling?
my tweaked 10v was about 200bhp too, but more importantly it was quite an agressive torque map, targetting around 300ft/lb, and with all the hard intercooler pipes, and exhaust work i did, it made fantsatic early hard boost, and held it throughout the tacho till the limiter which simply came too soon!
it made quite big torque, for a long time, so quite hard on the drivetrain, and my choice of the first upgrade was being thoroughly tested by about 10 thousand miles, at which point i was having to start driving around it a little, so the second stage clutch would have perhaps been better for an agressive car, driven, err, agressively!!
they will advise you similarly at C&G i believe, and if you blag some trade, the prices for their uprated clutches are cheaper than a stock alfa boxed valeo clutch kit! BARGAIN!
i take it you're having it fitted by a decent indy garage, not alfa dealer?
