With all the evidence against them about service history etc, in writing no doubt, you would have thought they would be most apologetic and take the car back, as they are clearly in the wrong.
I fear however they wil resist, causing you much hassle and time chasing them. You will win in the end, as you hold all the aces, but they will no doubt make it as hard as possible.
I have found ALL main dealers to operate in this fashion when it comes to any 'customer complaint' issues whatever the make, even had issues with a Lexus dealer, supposedly the best. Currently having issues with BMW over failing my 330's MOT on brakes that weren't even worn out in the hope I'd just tell them to replace them without checking!
The best was Desira Alfa however who falsified documents on my 166 3.2 and had to take the car back 4 months later with a full refund......
Sadly, car dealers now seem incapable of admitting errors even in the face of glaring evidence and as I've said to them in the past, any company who makes a mistake but admits it and resolves it quickly can end up with a better reputation as everyone can make mistakes.
However, trying to wriggle out of a clear error (in this case lies it appears) makes them look like idiots and destroys their reputation very quickly. Deservedly so.
Rant over. Good luck!
