Fuel pump fail!
No not a story of disaster but one of joy!!
Yes the high pressure fuel pump was leaking (Crap Bosch German bits again) and the job is being done under my 4th year Alfa Care warranty.
So whats so great about that I hear you say.
Well, the high pressure fuel pump is driven by the cam belt, so to change the pump, the cam belt has to be changed. As the car is at 67K it is a bit early for the scheduled cam belt change (open for opinion) so the warranty is paying out for that as part of the claim!!!! Eeee Ha!!
I was amazed how little the water pump is costing me!
Someone said to me, "so whats so special about an Alfa Romeo then?" I told him, "If you have to ask, you wont understand".
Driving Brera S 2.2, wife drives 939 Spider 2.2 and there is a 1972 Spider 2000 S2 in the garage for fun days.
