I picked up my Brera today
unfortunately though as I was driving it home I happened to hear a squeaking noise like brakes on some cars. I put the window down and it was my car! It doesn't seem to occurring when I apply the breaks but more when I first take off after stopping it get a squeak... Squeak.... And it disappears at higher speeds. When I turn left it is really bad and is almost constant. Turning right doesn't seem to bad.
I have read a few other threads and there are a couple on break pads causing this, but wanted to see if anyone else had other thoughts or experiences similar.
I will be ringing where I bought the car and talking to them tomorrow, as I am surprised they didn't notice this when selling me the car. It didn't do this to the best of my knowledge when I test drove the car two days back. It did get a service this morning, so maybe something happened there.
Oh.... And hear I am driving home all happy and chuff only to have the cops fly up behind me with their lights going and asking me to pull over
I didn't know what the problem was, but apparently the car flagged up as garaged (or sommelier term), and they needed to check my insurance... So all was good.
Anyway, despite issue this car is amazing, and glad I made the choice to be an Alfa owner!
