I own a 159 2.4 ti 2008 with 72k km. the f1 map + dpf off and software egr block was done aproximatelly 30k km ago. The car ran very well after the remap.
A few huhndred kilometers ago developed a significant turbo lag which is pretty annoying since I do a lot of city driving. I am not sure if this is related, but When i was just under 70k km the hose from the IC to the turbo got broken(a 5cm cut was found on it) and i replaced it, but for a few hundred kms i drove the car with the broken hose trying to avoid black smoke coming out of the exhaust. After i replaced it, the car started to run very well again with no smoke whatsoever.
After a few hundred kms running smoothly, i started to experience this lag issue. The turbo spools pretty slow, but when it manages to build up pressure(a bit above 1.5 bar on the boost gauge, but around 1.7 bar actual pressure)it still pulls like a train. No smoke, vacuum hoses are fine, no significant deposits on the intake sensor. If i take the foot off the gas pedal and allow the car to go down to 2k rpm with 0.2 bar and then i put the foot down hard it takes around 3s for the turbo to get to the max boost. No errors on the diagnosis sw. Injectors are working ok. It happens in any gear, and at any rpm. Of course, at higher rpm the problem is not that significant, but it still can be felt.
I visited the dealer and they told me that the egr is not actually completely blocked because i still had a small black deposit on the intake sensor and he reccommended to drive hard the car for 200-300 kms, which i did with no change. I went to a different car repair shop and they said the only thing we could try is to clean the turbo with ultrasound, advice that came, of course, without actually checking the turbo internals.
Anyone has any other input on this, as i am about to go on a journey of a few thousands kms and i don't want any other trouble on the way
Thanks a lot.
