Don't fall for it - Main dealers
So here is my story......
I have owned 3 Alfa's and in my view the best cars in the world.
So my latest is an 07 plate Alfa 159 2.2 JTS what a car, a little like an Italian women once you have had one you won't go anywhere else, but you know one day she will let you down!!!
well a few months ago someone ran into the side of her on a local road - so I rang the insurance company and they arranged for it to be picked up and delivered to their authorised repair centre "Car Clinic"..... say no more
so a few days later I get the call.. we are going to repair it because we know how you Alfa owners love your cars - great so another two weeks pass and my car was ready.
I went in signed the paperwork and went to take my lovely Alfa home and Ohhhh battery was flat (attention to detail) "sorry it was ok when we drove it out" the bump started it and off I went.
i work 40 miles from the garage so I drove it there and parked it up and notice when I locked the doors the lights did not flash!!!! Battery again? not sure I thought....
left work at 5:30 and guess what flat battery, so managed to get home after another jump start.
next day I took the car back to "Car Clinic" with the fault and a couple of other ones (Doors sticking, squeak from front) they said that was not their problem it must have been faulty before they got the car - really (choice words came out at this point and they agreed to look at it) later that day I got a call to say they had changed the battery and it was perfect, the door was because the seal was to strong!! and the squeak was the floor mat that was not fixed!!! these guys had just put my car back together and thought that floor mats squeak.......
Still no indicators flashing when locking doors.... so back it goes.... Oh it's your key it is faulty so took 2nd key to them... that one too fcuk didn't think someone hitting you could cause so much damage to things at my house.
so upshot of all this crap was insurance company agreed to take the car to Chris Variava Nottingham for a full assessment - well it gets even better
1.lower front wishbone worn (£250)
2.stearing rack faulty needs replacing (£1500)
3. alarm siren fault (£150)
mmmmm Car lick said I would sell it while it still shines....... great advise
today I have sorted the car out.... Inner tie bars (£15 each side) not £1500 lower wishbone (no fault) alarm replaced by insurance company because I would not let go...
these guys are professionals really think twice and question.... they are crooks do not trust
happy alfa driver
