Many thanks for your thoughts, both.
Well, I did do it, and I'm pleased I did.
I went for the Brera 3.2 shocks and springs kit, plus the lighter 19" alloys (anthracite on Stromboli Grey which in MHO is a great combination). Had it all fitted by the friendly folks at Kinghams - 6 hours for the 4 corners, with the rear suspension being particularly problematic and time consuming, needing the removal of the interior carpet/trim to the boot.
I can report that it has transformed the driving experience into an even more enjoyable and satisfying one. The technician, too, commented on the transformation. It feels a lot more direct and agile, body control is much improved and corners as though on rails - impressive given what I thought were already excellent road holding characteristics. It still sits low, but is noticeably a little higher than the original Ti set-up (obviously by those 10mm) and has lost a little of that low-down aggressive stance. But this is more than compensated for by the improved handling and that I no longer need to approach every bump and pot-hole in the roads around SW London with extreme caution; those familiar crashes experienced with the Ti set-up when the road goes to pot have been totally banished.
Glad I had it done.
