Paint coming off red Brembos on 159Ti
My 2010 159Ti is coming up to 40,000 miles and I noticed over the weekend that the lovely red paint on the front calipers has come off in chunks leaving a dull red undercoat showing. I'm curious how this has happened as the calipers are obviously well hidden from any road debris that may hit them and that they both seem to have lost paint at more or less the same time. I have noticed recently a slight pulsing in the brake pedal that could be a distorted disc but I was going to leave that to be sorted until the 42K service. Could this have anything to do with the paint issue? I've had a feel around the inside of both front wheels to see if anythings stuck to them that could hit the calipers but there's nothing there.
Has anyone else experienced this? The car is still under warranty but I'm not sure if a main dealer would repair this under warranty - they may consider it to be fair wear & tear?
Any opinions or examples of this happening to other Ti's?
