Help Alfa 159, Brera and Spider engines

Hi, I am new on this forum and actually a freshly new Alfa owner as I have just bought an 2007Brera with the 3.2 JTS engine. I am crazy about this car, but one of my friends have a GT with the 3.2 GTA engine and I think it is a lot better than the JTS one...
My question is (it may sound strange to you but...): Can I change my JTS for a GTA in my Brera?
I mean, can I fit a GTA engine into a Brera ? I could change the gearbox as well if this is needed...

The brera would have been the greatest car on earth EVER if it had a 3.2 GTA... and RWD... and if it was lighter...
Can someone help?

I'd imagine that as an absolute minimum you'd need to change the gearbox, engine mounts, the entire wiring loom etc, and even then it still wouldn't haul a Brera round any quicker.

Better to spend your money on a Ragazzon exhaust or similar, so that it sounds the way it should.

+1 it's the weight that kills the Brera not the engine

A remap will release a few more horses not a huge amount but worth it nonetheless, however the big gain is in the power delivery and drive ability.

This with a sports exhaust will help sway you back to loving the new 3.2 engine variant.

Long gearing on the Brera makes it feel slower than it is but head to head, there's not a lot in it in terms of outright acceleration.

Exhaust sound wise too & in standard form, the Brera sounds better too
