Have today fitted the 8 led sidelights recommended in this thread and Ring xenon ultima 120% in the main beams.
No problems with fitting the sides and they look really good, much better than the yellow light that the standard bulbs gave out.
Now a far better match for the hids although as they are 6000K and the hids are 5000K they are a bit more blue than I would have liked but could not find any rated at 5000K.
Mains a bit more fiddly to fit but helps if you take the other 2 connections off on the passenger side and the 1 connection and the retaining bracket and move the hose on the driver’s side as this then gives just enough room to get in to the back of the light housing.
Hardest part is getting the clip back on without being able to see it and only just being able to reach it.
120%’s look very yellow in comparision but will most likely only be used to flash so not really a big deal.
Have been driving the car now for a week since fitting the hids and have had no problems or error messages and have to say that the light that they give out is on a par with my Renault sport Magane which has factory fitted xenon’s.
Am now thinking of putting a hid on the fogs and was going to buy the same kit on ebay that I have already used but the seller has increased the price by £10.00 since I bought them a fortnight ago and I begrudge paying £60.00 for lights that will have very little use so am thinking of buying this kit http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/CANBUS-XEN...1#ht_737wt_952
. which is less than £30.00.
Has anyone used this kit and if so what is it like quality wise and also if you got it with 5000K bulbs is it nice and white.
Also if anyone has fitted a hid in their fogs where have you managed to fit the ballasts as there does not seem to be a lot of room to play with.
Total cost of just on £100.00 all in for 2 hid kits, 8 led bulbs and the 120% bulbs is a small price to pay to be able to see where you going and also make a good improvement in the look of the car.
