ok all fitted and working. they are bright. will test out properly when it gets dark.
fitting took me an hour and a half.
my first problem was i only had a 22mm spade bit. This meant I could not fit one of the connectors through the plastic cap, so i had to file out a notch in the plastic hole to fit it through.
fitting the bulb in was fine when i worked out you had to take the whole bulb metal retaining clip off first, locate the bulb and then fit the clip on. That was the scary bit as i didnt want to loose the clip.
the rest was ok to fit. a bit of scrapped knuckles but not too bad... but then had a problem with one of the smaller connectors which i had tried out before. They wouldnt plug together. Looking inside the female connector, it seemed too low. So using a small screwdriver managed to realign it so that that the male connector slotted in.
just got to test now in the dark now
the only other thing i done compared to wynne71s guide was i placed the drivers side ballast box a bit further up and under the wing and cable tied it.
the passenger side ballast box i put in the same position.
oh yeah. meant to mention. when i connected the kit up first with the capicitors in place to test the lights worked before fitting, they didnt. so i removed the capicitor and they worked. So put the capicitor back and it worked ok. I did check the connections.. so seemed a bit weird. any ideas anyone. Does the kit need to be powered up the first time without the capicitors in place?
