Help door lock help - glue?!

I have struggled to fix my front door central locking over the last 6 months but on the positive side have become an expert in getting the mechanism out in 20 mins.

Can anyone offer advice on a solution to permanently fix a small brass cog onto a small (1mm dia) steel spindle on a 12V motor. This is the drive cog that disengages and engages the exterior handle with the lock mechanism inside the lock assembly. At the moment the cog spins on the spindle so won't activate the mechanism.

Superglue does not work .

Help!!! I am now at the mercy of the dealer and a new assembly for the sake of a 2 motor.

You could try a long cure epoxy or source the part from a car breaker
