Yes mate, its Ady's handy work. "not the full beans" to quote when I picked it up. "The QTRONIC's get upset with too much power and start making bad gear change decisions"...
Its these points I am working on as I WANT the "full beans" and a side of bacon
The main issue with the bad gear change strategy is actually down to the fact that so much torque is produced as such low RPM that the gearbox ends up putting you a gear to far up the box and your engine nearly stalls! had it a couple of times
My car is guessed at 263 Bhp, guessed by Rev2 on the iPhone via OBD, using weight and power readings etc. I started with 200 Bhp so I am happy. In terms of real world testing, I played with a 335D on the A1 the other day for about 50 miles and we were "like for like" all the way through the range.
Hmmm, im looking at getting the DPF/EGR delete & remap but am looking at Angel tuning. I do question the AHM maps with people being told they are altered to your particular car. And given the power yours appears to be running at, supposedly being a weaker map, sounds like a bit of a line to me. And given you occasionally have the odd iffy change would indicate you are running at the same power as any other remapped manual 2.4.
Without getting into the whole who's map is the best etc argument, i cant see the AHM map being any better than the Angel map which is a lot cheaper.
Good info put forward mate, keep up the good work. I'm watching the paddles upgrade closely as i really want them. I think first things on this are
1- Is the loom already behind the steering wheel, as if it is a paddle wheel can be bought (expensive i know) , and the Ti wheel could be sold to re-coupe some of the money as im sure someone on here without a Ti would like the sportier wheel
2- Will the paddles work in auto mode, or would the gear lever need to be moved across to manual to work. The reason i say this is because in the 335d you can use the paddles in auto mode for overtakes etc which saves playing with the gear stick
