USB memory stick Mp3s playing up 😁

I've been playing MP3s from a memory stick in my 159 without problems in my 159 for a while now. But lately it has started to fail to play tracks.😱Has anyone else experienced that problem? 😏

If you haven't made any changes to the tracks on the USB then might be worth trying (a) another USB with different files on it, then back to the original to force B&M to re-read the contents. Or (b) disconnect the battery negative terminal for at least ten minutes.

If you have made changes to the files recently then it might be that you have tags in different formats that confuse B&M. You can fix this using various free or cheap applications - I use mp3tag. There are various threads on this forum - eg

Yeah - I've had it once or twice.
Easiest fix is to delete the USB stick and re-load your music. This will force B&M to compile a library index again. Next time you put the USB in make sure you give it enough time to compile the library though or it may be incomplete.
Failing that try disconnecting the battery but have the radio codes if you do
No 1 has always fixed it for me.

Just get a cheap (free) one with a few tracks on it, when you insert this it deletes the playlist, and reloads it, so will rebuild your main one when you swap it back to that.
