Hi, i just wanted to tell you about the good experience I had with Veloces of London. I drove 60 mile round trip to see a black 159 Ti 2.0 JTDM that I had seen on Autotrader (didn't phone before, although I had considered it)
When we arrived we had a look around and found the car, we looked over it and instantly liked it. However as is normally the case it was sold. Paul appeared shortly afterwards and we explain what we had come down to see, he said follow me and took us to another part of the car lot he took the time and showed us the various different Ti's that they had in stock.
We took out a 2.4 JTDM that had been remapped and it was a joy to drive, the turbo you could hear as you pulled away. My partner and I both drove it and loved the way it handled and felt. When we got back Paul mentioned a 1.75 Petrol, and I dismissed it without even really listening to what Paul had to say as I was pretty much set on a Diesel. I knew my budget and we did some figures for the 2.4 JTDM, however I couldn't afford it, so I ask if there were any other places that sold Alfa's, at that point the 1.75 TBI was mentioned, so we went to have a look, well I should have listen to Paul in the first place because the moment he started the engine it purred and my partner and I looked at each other and went wow! We were sold and we hadn't even driven it yet. We took it for a test drive and came back to the dealers I was sold!! He then told about the fact that the blue and me didn't support iPods / iPhones and it would cost £100 to supply and fit, I said off the bat £50 and you have a deal. He agreed straight away.
During the test drive my partner who was sat in the back noticed a rip in the leather seats, this was pointed out to Paul and without hesitation he said "we will do a straight swap and replace all the back seats" which they did. Also there was some damage on the front bumper, a scruff mark. Paul said it would be cleaned up and it was.
They took my Fiesta ST in part ex and gave me a good price for it, we had done a glasses online valuation before heading there so we knew we got a good price (£100 less than glasses had said) I ask if they would transfer my private number plate, the reply was yes straight away. I have been in main car dealers and they refused outright to do it sighting too much hassle.
I had the car life shined as well.
The day I picked the car up it had snowed, Veloces had kept the car inside all the time until the moment I arrived to pick it up (it wasn't outside when we got there, it was only brought out as we walked out after completing the paperwork. To me that shows consideration, everyone loves to see their new car shining when you pick it up, Paul made sure I saw it shining even in the mass of snow!)
We got the car home and spent the night looking out of the window
The next morning we went to go out to my parents (everyone like to show off a new car!) however it wouldn't start (dead battery we suspected) called the AA and out they came and confirmed a dead battery. I called Paul and asked how long it had been with them it turned out it had been sat around for about 4 or 5 weeks over the christmas period with the odd test drive. Paul told me to call him back once the AA had been to confirm what the problem was, he apologised for the problem, but hey a poor battery will die especially when its -5c outside all night! Once the AA had been I called Paul and explain it was the battery and that we were off to get a new one. I was going to ask Paul if he would refund me the cost of the battery, but before I had chance to even think about asking Paul that he said that he would refund me the cost of the battery.
1 week later I had a phone call from Paul, he phoned to ask how I was getting on with the car and was calling to make everything else was ok.
All I will say is don't judge Veloces until you experience them first hand. People are very quick to post negative comments, I felt that my positive comments should be shared. I would head back there again!
