Clay is simply a medium for extracting the grit and fine dirt particles that stick in the paint/laquer that washing won't remove. Using a lubricant (madam) the clay is rubbed across the surface, it picks up the particles and they stick to the clay.
You can use water to lubricate, but I found the Quick Detailer in the megs kit really good to use, and it buffed off really easily.
Just remember to throw the bar away if you drop it, and keep folding it over as the side you are using gets mucky. Simples.
Try it, I think you will be shocked by the results!
