Cheers for all the suggestions gents.
I've done a good few hundred miles in the car in the last couple of days and although the clutch slips in 5th and 6th occasionally it isn't desperate yet so I can do some shopping around.
I've read the DMFs often need replacing at the same time, so, even if the DMF isn't diagnosed as knackered on dismantling, I'll get it changed anyway. The cost of replacing the DMF a few thousand miles after the clutch would be soooo expensive in labour it doesn't make sense to chance it. Also, the original has done 130k so its done well so far.
I've seen the uprated clutch at AHM - £227.50 + vat (£273)
Genuine Alfa DMF flywheels from shop4parts are £197 + vat (with 10% FiatForum discount) (£236.78)
Release bearing/actators are about £115 off ebay (inc vat and del).
So, we're looking at £624 in parts and then fitting on top.
I have a good local garage that should be able to do the work for me and it shouldn't be more than £200 cash I hope. So hopefully about £824 in total inc DPF and uprated clutch.
