A 3.2 Q4 Brera will be a fantastic machine, of that I'm quite confident. However, delaying a 3.2 GT purchase in order to buy a 3.2 Q4 Brera might not make as much sense as it presently seems.
Everyone seems to see the Brera as a similarly price machine to the GT. The only price we have so far is for a 2.2 JTS, around £25,000. Although this is only about £2,000 cheaper than the V6 GT, the GT comes with leather, Bose, MP3, 17" wheels as standard. Add those features to a 2.2 Brera (along with the metallic paint, Xenons and PDC) and you start approaching a £30k price tag rather quickly. Change the engine to a V6 (+£4000 based on current GT pricing) and Q4 (2 more diffs, propshafts, driveshafts and ECU has got to result in another £3000-£4000) and you start to approach £40,000.
Do you see where I'm going with this? If the rumoured 3.2 biturbo or 3.7 n/a engines do arrive, they'll make for a bl00dy expensive car, significantly more expensive than the £26,995 (that's roughly right isn't it?) 3.2 V6 GT.
However, I still want one and am still planning to goto Geneva to see it
