I manage quite well on most occasions. passamgers range from me (though in drivers seat) at 6 foot and errr, ample weight, missus at 5'6, 2 stepdaughters between 5'6 and 5'8, stepson at err something shorter, and a 4 year old, and a 2 year old in car seat.
aside from the obvious issue that we can't get everyone in at once, we rarely have issues for space, no matter who is in. the buggy does require a bit of tetris maneuvring to get in mnind you. but ther only real difference between the 159 and the megane Grand scenic i had.. is headroom (well ok, there are a LOT of differences, but purely space wise...) and of course the bigger boot on the scenic.
you fill the car with gubbins if the space is there, if it's not, you don't.
never bothered with isofix, no wait we did once. for the extra cost involved, it;s really not worth the saving of a few seconds putting it in or out if you need too.
