Congrats on the new arrival.
What you are suffering from here is not a car problem but a mentality problem and, it has to be said, a problem mostly brought about by the gender with two X chromosomes.
I've been a stay-at-home dad looking after our little one for the last three years since she was a baby. I spend time in dads' groups and the first thing you will notice in such groups is the complete absence of push-chairs and baby paraphernalia. Mums' groups on the other hand are populated by battle-buses bigger than London Routemasters.
There is something genetic in women that prevents them buying a £15.99 folding push chair from Argos when this is their opportunity to get a £600 "travel system". Why carry a spare nappy in one's pocket (or handbag) when this is the opportunity to buy a £80 "baby change system". It's a combination of nesting instinct fuelled by persuasive consumerism and it's very hard to beat but it can be beaten. Babies/children do not need all that stuff.
The 159 is a decent sized five-seater car with a standard sized boot. It can take a family of four.
If I traded my car for a LWB Ford Transit I'm sure the two women in my life could fill it.
