I'm sure 17", 18" 19" are all the same; people just don't have the choice in 19" and everyone likes to positively validate the choices they make in life
Not in all cases, I got offered 4 for 250 quid, which was what I was paying for on Pirelli
The reason I bought them was to use in winter, now they are not winter tyres, but the p zero is absolutely the worst tyre on the market for getting packed with slush. In fact we had only 3 cars stuck in snow one day in the cul de sac, mine, my wife's mito and the neighbours R8..... All on p zero Nero 's and all drivers who never get stuck.
So anyway, the Accelera was a lot better in this regard, but I was expecting to find them crap in the spring and in the wet, as a former competitive driver I'm well aware of the rule of thumb that anything fast in the wet is actually no use in the dry, but the fact was, correctly inflated, they were as good as the Pirelli and continental, in fact they were a lot quieter.
So instead of taking them off, I kept them on and sold the pirelli's.
I was told though, and I believe this, that the sidewalls are easily damaged, so don't take chances with them, if you kerb them, replace them.
I am also worried about QA, as other sizes get bad reviews, and others can be mixed, so if you buy them, it's still a risk, if you find them crap, you need to be prepared to bin them.
