Not yet mate, still in the prototyping stage, but we are keeping the electronics simple and sourcing the rings direct from the factory in china to keep costs down as much as we can.

Oh, didn't realise they wouldn't work if you had Xenon headlights

Its not that they would not work with Xenon headlights its more of a cost issue and availability of the Xenon headlight units.

These will be offered as completely assembled units with the rings and control unit installed in brand new headlight units.

The Xenon headlight units have different alignment equipment installed inside the unit and thus the cost of a replacement set of Xenon headlights is ridiculously expensive.

How much is a new set of headlights without your work being done to it?

700 !!!! Jeeeezzuusss !!!!!! For a pair that would be steep, for one its bloody vertical !!!

After seeing the light start up, I'd assume not available on Xenons as the gubbins for this will go were the ballast, which I believe are underneath the units, for the xenons are its about the only time I wished I didn't have xenons...Hey ho will just have to admire any 159's I see with this mod.....

Last edited by Waquer159; 19-06-13 at 13:13. Reason: Thought I'd read something to do with no xenon availability but couldn't find the post to reference it.

Change your Xenons for these and get a HID kit?

And then sell your pair of Xenons and make an overall profit...

Sounds like a plan...... Only problem I see is then I think I would have to fit the manual aim rotary switch. Could be done I suppose.

Didn't know there was more to a stock Xenon implementation. Nothing is ever easy!

If a few of us are willing to stump up in advance, wondering if they would give you a discount on a bulk buy?

Yeah Xenons have auto aim which I believe is like a self levelling function. When you start the car up at night you can momentarily hear the head light motors going and if the head lights hit anything nearby you see the head lights flick up and down.

Hi,
Yes it could be done on the Xenon's but as I said its the cost that makes it a none viable option at the moment, at 1400 a pair its a brave person to take on the retro fit.

In fairness its the same operation to fit the DRL rings to the Xenon's as the normal headlights but its the cost of replacing them that makes my bum twitch. You also have to remember that some do get damaged in the process that has to be taken on the chin as to say.

I have a possible cheaper alternative DRL option that does not involve taking your lights apart. I have BiZenons, and I not brae enough to risk breaking them. So I have an alternative tread with similar name that shows the alternative DRLs.
