Do you have any idea when it will be ready and what price the price will be?

This is not because I impatient but it's to make a reservation for a garage to work on it.

Costs and all details are on the wiki http://projects.jabawoki.com

Basic timeline for fullfillment goes like this:

1) we get 10 commitments
2) you all pay for them with paypal so you have some comfort / security
3) I book a manufacturing run with the PCB company & pay for them (with your funds)
4) 30-40 days later they arrive and I ship them out

This will be the 3rd or 4th run so the process is quite matured now.

With this list you just get a feeling of the time and effort spent into this project.

Ok so we just need to wait for 3 other alfa owners to put down on the list and then it's a go.

Ok well that sounds great (can't wait)
Looking forward this beeing placed on my Brera, it just looks so great.

Thanks for your reply and the update.

Still at 7 on here, but there has been additional progress on the facebook group. The guy who is doing "Halo builds" is also building a list of people who want full units. In addition he is doing R&D on Halo builds for the G, 147 & 156, so demand is increasing.

Hi JabawokJayUK,

Today I received some bad news on the car.

Therefore I would like to ask you if you can pull me out list on the headlights.

I was really looking forward to the units but due to the news I received yesterday it's just not possible (needed) anymore

Sorry.
Many thanks,

Dale

No problem Dale.
Count yourself in topman1993 !

one in one out!

current list:

  1. nunofvc
  2. andytng
  3. kokepa
  4. Sharif (via email)
  5. yzfrichie
  6. Druboo
  7. topman1993
Good news is I have a couple of people wanting controllers on Facebook so chances are, as long as everyone in the above list is still "in", we should be able to get a batch produced.

Retain all the wiring that comes with the rings, it comes in handy when building up the lights

Thanks matty

Think all the parts have now arrived, bar the controllers of course.
Going to copy you with the psu and relay in the hobby box and probably locate in the same place as well Just a case of where to mount the controllers, and have the wiring exiting the headlights.

Reading the instructions goes over my head, still.

After my Chinese PSU failed, I went for the alternative as recommended by manphibian. 1 PSU will do the job, but I went for 1 per controller as my cable runs were different lengths so I could trim them independently.

As you can see they are only small so fit inside the box no problem with delay relay. Having 2 PSU's also meant I had to move the inline switch to the feed in to the PSU rather than being on the load side instead.

As for exiting the lights, I drilled near the outer drain holes but be careful as this is a little bit near to the bodywork when fitted. Maybe drill them a bit further in to be safe

They've been brilliant on these recent winter mornings to

There is a guy called Chris MacDonald on AlfaBook (Facebook group) that will build you a set of Halo's to order based on this project and my controllers. Just get in contact with him and place your order!

He is building loads of sets for people now.

AlfaBook doesn't seem to exist on Facebook, at least I can't find it. Can you please give me the link?

No. Only the LED rings listed in the project details. I am exploring other ring options for the future but for now it's just the listed ones.

CCFL are worse than LED btw.

yeah, but the only one option now is 400 GB pounds + 2 headlights, wich is insane ...
