Car-less ATM

When I finally get my car I'm pretty damn sure I'll be adding my name to the list.

Looks like I didn't learn my lesson with modifications on my previous car...

So basically no more than 110 to be added to the list?

Not exactly ... I've got 80 down as my controller price (Thanks Hurri) so it'd be only 30 ... plus a few quid for cabling etc

Just a quick one, I got my timer relay from the link you recommend. But now I have it the numbers are all different??!

Can you advise what I'm supposed to connect to what?

Thanks

John

Now your asking!!!!

I'll go check on my car later to get you a definitive answer as I cant recall from memory, but do remember it was counter intuitive to the instructions

Strange to have 31 to ignition and 15 to earth would have had that the other way round.

Like I said, the relay seems to be counter intuitive. It took me a while to get it working as I recall as I initially wired it up according to the supplied diagram and it did not work. Only after some experimentation did this config work ok for me.

I could just have got a duff relay!

Also, I had it in bits so I could have put the case on backwards in which case you're right, 31 and 15 are swapped. Either way, i'm not going out to double check it as I will have to remove the tape again !

The pin labels are on the top of the relay and the pins on the bottom

Hi all,

Jay, just a couple of questions regarding the build ...

1). What is the pin configuration on the controllers ... example: left pin is + (with plastic retaining tab at top)

2). What have folks used to re-seal the headlights after ring installation.

3). Are people using a small stuffing gland (pg 9 or pg 7) for getting wiring into controllers? That is my intention and just wondered if that's what others have done?

Cheers

Re 2) Black seem sealant worked for me

Re 3) I just drilled a hole through into the controller case then sealed the controller case onto the headlight to complete the seal.

Led rings source

Sorry for being ignorant, but this thread has 38 pages, can't read them all.
Is it a secret, or can anyone tell me where can I buy the LED rings?
Diameters as far as I understood, are 100, 95, 90 mm for each side.
How many leds/ring?
How are the LEDs in the ring connected?
Link to the rings?

Thank you and keep up with the good job.
Victor.

Brera 3.2 V6 Q4

Guys

I've done the scary bit of baking the headlights. Worked a treat, 5 mins at 155oC then heat gun to help remove adhesive.

BUT....how the hell do you get the reflectors out of the back part of the light???

There's a few philips screws in there but there no way I can turn them as they don't line up with the holes at the back of the light???

Any ideas?

you can remove the whole reflector unit by pulling on it. Its held on a ball and socket style connection onto the adjuster bolts that come through from behind. Be careful that you do not break them though!

Thanks Jay! It looks quite delicate so didn't want to try just pulling with asking.

Thanks, and now time to get wiring.
