eBay seems to be fine for headlights. And doing this to a new set has to be the way forward.

Aside from it means you can still drive your car whilst doing the mod, I see swapping them out when the day finally comes to sell the Brera. In the car they will have very little value, but out of the car to sell on here or eBay they should command a decent price.

I bought this Xenon kit an age ago but never installed it.

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/XENON-HID-...E:L:OC:GB:3160

Should I use it with this project? And if so would you suggest I get the cold white rings?

I would fit the kit now as its easily transferable between headlights and you wont regret the increased light! takes about 30 minutes.

You should arrange a communal HALO FITTING EVENT, share tools and beers !? Call it the Halo Affect Meet !

A quick question - would it be possible to fit the halo's to the front fogs ? I have the factory fit xenons and those fogs are never on anyway :roll eyes:

I have contemplated something along those lines Ruiner. In the industry I am in there is the concept of hack spaces, where like minded people can come together to work on projects and share tools / ideas / expertise.

Its not beyond the realms of possibility that some people from this thread could get together to share the workload, but as with any community, it needs to self organise and each person needs to bring something to it or it wont work.

In terms of the fog lights. There are better alternatives for that location and others on here have done it so search the forum for fog-light DRL and you should get some ideas.

You can take part just by looking at the new wiki and starting to collect the parts you need. The new controllers will be available to buy soon and can be bought from me at 100 GBP + Shipping for the pair.

The wiki is @ JabaProjects

has anyone had any success with splitting the standard headlights that were on their car from new?

I don't really want to spend the 150 on a new set of lights if i don't have too

I believe it's possible, but harder. And obviously means you can't use your car whilst doing it.

As I said above, I think it's worth the investment in a new set. When you finally sell your Brera you'll get no extra for having halo lights. But the halos alone will be worth a decent amount to owners on here. So swap in the original lights and sell the halo version separately and you'll make a few quid extra on the car sale....

I will be working on a set of used / breakers yard headlamps. Have split a few lamps before on a 156 and it wasn't an issue. I don't expect it to be any harder on a '59
