Yes, it should be possible to replace the rubber gator with your current one. Alternatively, looking at the assembly, it looks possible to unscrew the board from the plastic retainers/housing and fit to those on your current gear shift box, without having to mess with unclipping the various bits of the plastic assembly which house the rubber gator (I should say one clip on my assembly was damaged by the mechanic trying to get at the gator to see if it could be mended).
The code is 55344202. But RHD or LHD should only be important for the housing itself. Having looked at pictures of the LHD Q-tronic gear shift, the gate movement of the gear shift appears to be identical on LHR and RHD models (the only difference is we have P, R, N and D on the far left of the stick, and +, - on the near left). The electronics board, which follows the gate shift pattern, looks like it should be universal for LHR and RHD cars. I can't imagine Alfa would go to the expense of manufacturing a RHD only board.
