Cry Like A Baby Lumpy Idle / low revs 2.2 problem

Was driving home tonight, car started fine and the engine was nicely warmed up and driven with no hard acceleration for some time, half way through the journey I overtook another car (45 in a 60) so climbed up the revs and still all okay, but 5 minutes later, when I was cruising in 6th gear @ 30mph, the engine was super hesitant, to a point it felt like it was going to conk out

Got it parked and the idle is rough and lumpy, lights flickering as the engine tries not to stall, feels like a misfire, no warning lights though.

Restarted it 15 or so minutes later, still the same

Going to get it looked at hopefully tomorrow, anyone with any idea's? Did a search, but these mainly point to the diesel issues.

No but keep us informed as there is little info on here for the 2.2 as you said. Helps build the knowledge base.
